2015 Cricket Rule Changes

01 Apr 2015

As a result of Scotland's poor showing in the 2015 Cricket World Cup we have been informed that a number of rule changes will be introduced with immediate effect for the forthcoming 2015 league season.

1. Due to the decreasing number of players participating in competitive cricket sides will now be reduced to 8 a side games.
2. Due to the poor performance of Scottish Bowlers a 4th stump and additional bail will be introduced into all senior league games.
3. It is broadly accepted that fielding standards have fallen so slip fielders will now be permitted to wear protective gloves.
4. All senior teams will now be provideed with a "Donald Trump" card to overturn a wicket and enable a player to continue batting.
5. It is broadly accepted that players over 40 years old make better wicket keepers so it will now be mandatory that all league sides employ an aged stumper.
6 Finally due to the falling standards in cricket teas all clubs must now provide suitable home baking alternatives that must include Lemon Drizzle Cake, Battenburg and Victoria Sponge.
