Tranent and Preston Village Cricket Club

On Sunday 5th Tranent hosted Cults/ Artisans/ St Ronald with a place in the 2015 Scottish Small Clubs final being the prize.

Thanks to our ground volunteers Tranent were able to host a competitive game on grass for the first time and upon winning the toss Adnan Ali invited the visitors for a bat. A spirited bowling performance from our 8 bowlers left the visitors all out for 123 from 37 overs. 

In response Fahim and Omais scored quick runs but James played a solid innings finishing on an unbeaten 49 that saw Tranent reach their target after 24 overs.

Tranent will now play in their first national final on Sunday 26th July at a venue to be confirmed. Morton another East League side will face the Belters in the final.
