Continued Growth for Tranent Sport

11 Dec 2015

As the club celebrated it's 5th year of competition with the success of all 3 league sides being promoted The Club were addressed by Paul Hutchinson, the CEO of Hutchinson Networks. Paul explained that he had very little knowledge of cricket prior to his involvement with the club 3 years ago but was impressed by the vision and passion of the club who wanted to break down barriers to enable more people to get involved in sport. In fact the progress of the club mirrored his companies success in many ways as his company started at a similar time and initially had to compete and perform well to grow. Paul was aware that all of the Hutchinson Sponsorship was used to deliver community facilities previously (The artificial pitch at the TCG) and with another enhancement of facilities on the horizon he was delighted to announce another 2 years of sponsorship acknowledging the funds would be used to enhance opportunities in the community especially those to young players.

Upon receiving this investment and thanking Hutchinson Networks, Amjad Shaikh noted that this would be a huge step in the delivery of a second artificial wicket and outdoor cricket nets at Meadowmill. This in turn would enable the club to introduce coaching and permit an additional league side.
