Cricket's back... and so are we!

24 Jul 2020

It's been a long 4 months hasn't it?

Thankfully cricket is back and though it may look a little different to usual, tomorrow at Meadowmill Sports Centre we play our first intra-club warmup game ahead of a return to competitive cricket in two weeks time.

We have 12 matches lined up across our two teams against local friends Haddington Cricket Club, Musselburgh Cricket Club, Bass Rock, Dunbar Cricket Club, and East Lothian Cricket Club. These games will take place throughout August and September, please see the Fixtures section of the website for more information.

In the interests of safety, and in line with guidance from Cricket Scotland and the Scottish Government, we will be observing strict social distancing precautions during all cricket-related activities. Accordingly, if you are involved in the games then please ensure you are familiar with the following guidelines:
  • Please arrive in your kit, ready to play. No changing facilities will be available for the foreseeable future at either of our grounds. Always ensure that any kit and outer clothing is separate from others when not in use.
  • Current social distancing guidance should be adhered to at all times (including throughout warm-ups). On-field positions should maintain a 2m physical distance where possible.
  • Please bring your own food and drink. No shared teas/lunches will be permitted and no drinks will be provided.
  • If you are feeling unwell then DO NOT TRAVEL TO THE GAME.

Further information and extended guidance can be found on the "Return to Cricket" section of the Cricket Scotland website at the following link:

The wait is finally over. Stay safe out there, and we'll see you on the field soon!
