Categories;

1. Junior Coach of the Year
· For the Junior coach making a significant impact on those who they have coached and is committed to providing greater opportunity for people to start, continue or succeed in sport.
2. Senior Coach of the Year
· For the Senior coach making a significant impact on those who they have coached and is committed to providing greater opportunity for people to start, continue or succeed in sport.
3. Junior Volunteer of the Year
· For outstanding contribution from a junior sports volunteer the benefit of the Tranent and District Community.
4. Senior Volunteer of the Year
· For outstanding contribution from a senior sports volunteer the benefit of the Tranent and District Community.
5. Junior Disability Sports Person of the Year
· For the Junior Disability Sports Person achieving sporting excellence in the calendar year.
6. Senior Disability Sports Person of the Year
· For the Senior Disability Sports Person achieving sporting excellence in the calendar year.
7. Young Sportswoman of the Year
· For the Junior Sportswoman achieving sporting excellence in the calendar year.
8. Young Sportsman of the Year
· For the Junior Sportsman achieving sporting excellence in the calendar year.
9. Sports Person of the Year
· For the Senior Sports person achieving sporting excellence in the calendar year.
10. Community Sports Club of the Year
· For the creation of opportunity for the community of Tranent & District to be involved in sporting activity either competitive or social.
11. Junior Team of the Year
· For the Junior Sports team achieving sporting excellence in the calendar year.
12. Team of the Year
· For the Senior Sports team achieving sporting excellence in the calendar year.
13. Sport in School Award
· A school that has proven good practice examples of sporting projects or initiatives that have raised the profile of sport in the school or can be seen as sector leading regarding the participation figures or sporting excellence.
14. Lifetime Achievement Award
· For commitment, dedication and /or success in playing/ coaching/ volunteering to the benefit of Tranent & District Sports clubs or individuals for a period of greater than 15 years.
15. Community Project of the Year
· For an innovative project using sport or physical activity to improve or enhance the quality of life for the community of Tranent & District.

NOTES;

1. Senior person is aged 18 or over.
2. Junior Person is aged 17 or under.
3. Award nominations should cover period 1st January to 31st December 2013.
4. All nominations should be for clubs or individuals based or resident in Tranent & District.
5. Nominations to be made by 31st January 2014.
6. Nominations to tranentsportsawards@gmx.co.uk including a brief explanation of achievement.
