Big Scott Makes it 100 Not Out

30 Aug 2014

An important milestone was made during the week when the 100th adult represented Tranent Cricket Club during the 2014 season. Scott Glynn a well know local figure noted it was his first game of cricket ever but he confessed it will not be his last. Scott like many from our local community have got involved in volunteering, supporting or playing and we hope his involvement will encourage more people to give it a go.

Club President Amjad Shaikh noted the club now has 3 competitive league sides, a youth/ senior 4th XI and two social sides as well as a junior section. Amjad confirmed the juniors are run on a "free to play" basis as finance should not be a boundary to playing cricket.

Although the 2014 competitive season is now complete there are still social games to be played so if anyone wants to get involved please get in touch.
