Tranent and Preston Village Cricket Club News story

League Format 2015

15 Dec 2014

ESCA have now been able to confirm the leagues for 2015. Dubiety had occurred due to the late merger of Dunfermline Knights and Dunfermline Carnegie and that uncertainty remained as to the format of Division 8 and 9 next year due to 14 teams wanting to participate.

The merger of the Dunfermline sides has now been ratified meaning Heriots III have now been promoted along with Tranent and Edinburgh II into Division 5. ESCA have in addition decided that there will be a large Division 8 next year composed of 14 sides. This means our 2nd and 3rd XI are both promoted and can look forward to another club derby game in 2015. Unfortunately this also means the league will be shortened as only 13 games will be played in the season.
