Good news reaches us with confirmation from Cricket Scotland that Tranent Cricket Club have successfully applied to be part of the Top Club programme. The club have been awarded active status which is the first rung in a 5 level system.This scheme enables clubs to develop various areas of club activity with a particular focus on sustainability and development.
The club has been involved in coaching primary school children for 4 years now with the numbers of qualified coaches slowly growing. With the new season just round the corner further volunteers are welcome to get involved in any area of club activity, not just playing.
