After the news late last week that Tranent and Preston Village would merger together to become Tranent and Preston Village cricket club, everyone was excited for the new clubs first games. Unfortunately someone forgot to tell the weather and all three games were cancelled.
This weekend however is a busy one. The 1st XI are on the road to face Westquarter and Redding and the 3rds host Glenrothes 3rds at the TCG both on Saturday. On Sunday the 2nds travel to Grange Loan to take on Carlton 4ths and also the development 4th team will open their campaign against East Lothian CC at the TCG. As well as the two games on the Sunday members of the club will also be marshalling at the Edinburgh marathon.
