Tranent & Preston Village took on woodcutters in the parks trophy on Thursday, TPVCC posted 173-3 fifties for Aiden Hoenigmann and Nayran Haran. The woodcutters could only post 113 in reply meaning a winning margin of 60 runs and place in the quarter final.
On Saturday the firsts took on Haddington at the TCG loosing out by 26 runs. David King (28) and Ravi Bhadrachala (26) top scored. Pick of the bowlers were Amjad Shaikh 2-31 and Dougie Russell 1-20.
The seconds hosted Kirk Brae 2s at polwarth falling agonisingly close loosing by 1 wicket. Prince Barker was the pick of the bowlers taking 4 for 33 runs. The best batsman was skipper Graeme Barrie with a solid 33.
The thirds took on Musselburgh in a local derby at lewisvale loosing by 234 runs. John Barrett took 3 wickets.
