Unfortunately Mark Anderson has stood down from captaincy of Tranent Cricket Club to pursue other opportunities in the higher levels of Scottish cricket for the 2012 season. This action had not been taken lightly by Mark but he has taken the decision now to allow the new captain time to prepare before the start of the season.
No doubt all playing members will support Mark in this matter and thank him for his captaincy and coaching for the 2011 season. It goes without saying that we hope he has a very successful year ahead.
Tranent CC will announce Mark's successor as soon as possible.
