On Saturday TCC 1st XI visited Hawick and Wilton CC, this was vice captain Aiden Hoenigmann's first outing as captain so a lot of pressure was on the youngster. Also there was a late call up for Andrew Punton who would be making his first appearance for the 1st XI after impressing in the 2nd and 3rd XI teams. TCC came out victorious by a 60 run margin. The stand out performers with the bat were Waleed Hassan 46, Omais Altaf 41 and Sardar Fahim 37. The best of the bowling was Sardar Fahim 5 for 28 and Phil Taylor 3 for 23. The 2nd XI were also in action on Saturday claiming a big victory against Stirling County 4th XI by 178 runs. Congratulations to Rudraksha Dasgupta on scoring a hard hitting 129! the other top performers with the bat were Karthick Srinivasan 39 and Scott beveridge 34. The pick of the bowlers were Zain Choudhry 4 for 20 and Karthick Srinivasan 2 for 13. This weekend our first XI travel to Musselburgh for the local derby. The 2nd XI are also away, they will be playing RHC 4ths at the Gyle. Let's hope for another 2 victories for the belters!!
