All 3 of Tranent's league teams were in action this weekend and two wins out of three for the belters.

The 1st XI traveled to the Gyle to face West Lothian 3rds. For the second consecutive week TCC broke the clubs highest score this time scoring a huge 392 runs. This wasn't the only record the team broke as they also sat the new club highest winning total, 318 runs. The stand out performers with the bat were Adnan Ali 154, Waleed Hassan 73 and Omais Altaf 72. The best of the bowling was Gary Findlay 3 for 9, Adnan Ali 2 for 0 and Sannan Ahmed 2 for 23. The 2nd XI hosted league leaders Glenrothes at the TCG, Unfortunately for the belters the 2nds couldn't defend their total of 205 as Glenrothes chased down the total with 13 balls to spare. TCC are still sitting second and have a bit of breathing space thanks to the 3rd XI who managed to defeat Morton 3rds. The top performers for the 2nds were Kuntal Muhkerjee 59, Paul Dance 48 and Thomas Hardwick 34. The pick of the bowlers were David Punton 1 for 21 and Jack Easton 1 for 47.

The 3rd XI managed to pull of a fantastic victory agaist 3rd placed Morton, not only were Morton ahead of TCC in the league but on the day they also had and extra 3 players as due to late call offs TCC only fielded 8 players. TCC posted a solid 150 runs and managed to bowl Morton out for 126, 24 runs short of the TCC total. This shows how far the 3rds have come this year so a huge well done to captain Neil and the rest of the team! The top run scorers were James Nicolson 58, Karthick Srinivasan 43 amd Colin McMillan 20. The best of the bowlers were James Nicolson 3 for 13, John Barrett 2 for 27 and Andy Shea 1 for 13. This weeks midweek games will see TCC take on Isobar at Leith Links on Tuesday. The second Midweek game is the East Lothian cup semi final against Dunbar at Hallhill. This weekend the 1st XI take on Dunbar at the TCG and the 2nd XI will take on the 3rd XI on Sunday at the TCG.
