Tranent and Preston Village Cricket Club

With the 2014 league season only a matter of a few weeks away the three league captains have named their vice captains for the forthcoming campaigns.

Adnan Ali, 1st XI captain, has opted for a youthful vice captain in naming 17 year old Aiden Hoenigmann as his deputy. Although young in years Adnan is taking advantage of Aiden's 10 years of experience playing East League cricket. Aiden has played league cricket previously with Holy Cross (2 spells) and Preson Village.

2nd XI captain Fraser Reynolds has named his 2014 aide as Scott Beveridge. Scott retains his position hoping to build on the successes of 2013 and return with a promotion at the end of the campaign.

Newly elected 3rd XI Captain Neil Craigmile has opted for a youthful vice captain as he has selected Lachlan Bruce. Lachlan has not experienced the responsibility of captaincy yet but he now has 4 years of cricket experience. The principal aim of the 3rd XI will be to provide opportunity for young and old players to enjoy competitive cricket.
